Hormone Optimization

"Normal range" is not the same as optimal.

Your labs come back "normal." You still feel terrible. That gap between reference range and optimal function is exactly where Dr. Seth Lampert practices. Comprehensive panels, real interpretation, and treatment that targets how you actually feel.

01

Comprehensive panels, not shortcuts

Most doctors check TSH and total testosterone and call it a day. Dr. Lampert orders free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, DHEA-S, full thyroid (free T3, free T4, TPO antibodies), cortisol, and metabolic markers. You can't optimize what you don't measure.

02

One physician, the full picture

Thyroid affects testosterone. Cortisol affects everything. Hormones don't operate in isolation, and they shouldn't be managed that way. Dr. Lampert treats the entire system together, not one marker at a time across specialists who never talk.

03

Men and women, same rigor

Testosterone optimization for men. Perimenopause, menopause, and testosterone therapy for women. Same standard of lab work, same physician continuity, same commitment to treating symptoms instead of dismissing them.

What We Treat

Hormone therapy for men and women.

When hormones decline or fall out of balance, the effects hit everywhere: energy, body composition, cognition, sleep, mood, libido. Dr. Lampert treats the full hormonal picture for both men and women.

Men

Testosterone · Thyroid · Metabolic

Low testosterone: fatigue, muscle loss, fat gain, low libido, brain fog, poor recovery. Thyroid dysfunction: subclinical hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, T3/T4 imbalances missed by TSH-only panels. Metabolic syndrome: insulin resistance, elevated inflammatory markers, visceral fat accumulation.

Women

Estrogen · Progesterone · Testosterone · Thyroid

Perimenopause and menopause: hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, weight gain, bone density concerns. Low testosterone: affects energy, libido, muscle tone, and mental clarity. Thyroid optimization: significantly underdiagnosed in women. Estrogen and progesterone therapy: individualized based on symptoms, labs, and risk profile.

Is This Right For You

Who we treat.

  • Adults whose labs are "normal" but who feel far from it — fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, low libido, poor sleep
  • Men with low or declining testosterone who want physician-led TRT with proper lab monitoring and safety oversight
  • Women in perimenopause or menopause who want evidence-based hormone therapy, not dismissal
  • Patients already on hormone therapy who want better oversight, more comprehensive labs, and a physician who actually reviews the results with them

Wellesley Medical currently serves patients in Massachusetts and Rhode Island via telehealth.

Common questions.

Fatigue that sleep doesn't fix. Weight gain around the midsection despite no change in diet. Low libido, brain fog, irritability, poor recovery from workouts, thinning hair. These are the signals most patients describe. Standard lab panels often miss the problem because "normal range" is not the same as optimal. Dr. Lampert runs a comprehensive hormone panel and interprets it in the context of how you actually feel.

Testosterone (men and women), full thyroid panel (TSH, free T3, free T4, TPO antibodies), estrogen, progesterone, DHEA-S, SHBG, and cortisol. Dr. Lampert evaluates the full picture because hormones interact. Fixing testosterone without looking at thyroid, or addressing menopause without checking metabolic markers, misses the point.

When prescribed and monitored correctly by a physician, yes. Dr. Lampert monitors hematocrit, PSA, lipids, and other safety markers at regular intervals. The risks of unmonitored testosterone, or of living with chronically low levels, are well documented. The goal is optimization within safe, evidence-based ranges with ongoing physician oversight.

Yes. Perimenopause and menopause are among the most under-treated conditions in medicine. Dr. Lampert prescribes estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone therapy for women based on symptoms, labs, and individual risk profile. Not a one-size-fits-all approach.

The initial evaluation is $600 one-time. Ongoing care is $350 per month. This covers all physician consultations, lab interpretation, medication management, and ongoing monitoring. Medications are purchased separately through your pharmacy or manufacturer programs.
